I'm wondering if anyone has a good protocol on their campus for notification
of a level three sex offender when they are not a student or employee (so
doesn't fall under Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act) but have moved into an
area where student housing is concentrated. We do have on our Public Safety
website the link to DOC to see a list of level three sex offenders but I'm
taking a wild guess here that most students don't check that every few months
. We've had a level three move into student housing area and of course a
community meeting was held but most of our students are gone and won't be
returning until fall. Any suggestions or good protocols at your campuses for
this type of situation?
