Here is a response to this question I received from a colleague (WoW =
World of Warcraft):

Organized response... no, but individual, yes. Back when I was an
uber-nerd and played WoW I had a similar experience. I reported them per
WoW's procedures, and they followed-up with me, but I never found out
what happened with the (I'm assuming) guy who was harassing me. He went
away, so I'm thinking they may have transferred him to a different
server. Regardless, in my experience, they are pretty good at responding
to sexual harassment in virtual communities, especially now that more
women are playing. My female gaming friends told me they did the same
thing, and the harassment stopped. If it's a single incident, I don't
know what they'd do.

I know it's probably nothing, but it might help a little!
