FYI for folks who have students in the Bay Area. Exhale is a feminist,
pro-choice organization that's doing great work.

Subject: [Exhale] Recruiting Volunteers for Talkline Training
"Exhale creates a space where judgment stops, and in this space, women can
share and reflect freely. There is a power in being heard, in speaking
without fear of judgment. In finding a space to experience the full range
of post-abortion emotions, women are finding a chance to be whole. This is
quite simply a wonderful thing to behold." - Exhale talkline counselor
When a woman has had an abortion and she's feeling alone, Exhale counselors
are there to listen. Our volunteer peer counselors create a truly
nonjudgmental space for women and men to speak freely, openly, and honestly
about their personal experience with abortion.
* Are you passionate about women being heard?
* Are you "pro-voice" in your bones?
* Are you ready to make a big commitment that can be
personally rewarding?
If you answered yes to all of these questions, and you live in the San
Francisco Bay Area, then you may be what we need for our next peer counselor
training.
We have a limited number of spots open - don't miss this opportunity to
grow, connect and contribute with like-minded pro-voice people!
Exhale is actively recruiting volunteers to participate in our next
intensive and dynamic training for talkline counselors taking place May -
July in our downtown Oakland office. We are especially looking for
bilingual/bicultural people who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, Cantonese,
Mandarin and Tagalog. We are also recruiting male volunteers for this
training.
