Hello all,
I am trying to find a program geared toward educating first year students
about rape education and prevention. We currently use a play which ends with
a simulated rape and many of the faculty (including me) believe it is
problematic on many levels and it seems that the students are more
entertained by it than educated. It uses a lot of sexist jokes without, in
my opinion, clearly showing how that sexism contributes to the problem. This
should be a program that can be presented during orientation weekend or in
the first week of classes. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
