Pet Abuse and Domestic Violence: How We Can Identify Families at Risk
According to Frank Ascione, 72% of pet-owning women who were victims of
domestic violence reported that their partners threatened or harmed their
family pets.
Join Jewish Women International in a 60-minute live teleconference presented
by Mary Lou Randour, PhD, director of human-animal relations, education &
outreach, The Humane Society of the United States; and Maya Gupta, PhD,
president, Ahimsa House, Inc., serving the animal and human victims of
domestic violence.

. How domestic violence agencies and animal services organizations can work
more closely together so that families at risk are identified and helped
earlier and faster
Co-sponsored by The National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the

contact hour is available for social workers for $10; instructions will be
