Happy New Year, everyone!  

If you're interested in a campaign for your agency that's easy to do, go 
ahead and use my template for a Valentine's Day "Equality Card."  It's free 
for the taking - it'd be nice if you credit me somewhere but that's not even 
essential.  I know many of you have seen this before, but in case you 
haven't...

The card reads, on the outside, "Valentine, don't just be 'mine,' and then on 
the inside it says "Be YOURS, too!"  There's a heart with an equals sign 
(which can also be used independently as a button or whatever) and a message 
about healthy relationships and a place to put hotline info.  Many folks have 
used this in their communities and changed the wording, etc. - Ceney Brenes 
in Arizona has translated it into Spanish so I have both English and Spanish 
versions to give out (if folks want to translate it into other languages, 
that'd be great!).  

Those of you that work in schools or with youth, this is a GREAT project for 
them!  They can give away or sell the card for a donation, along with the 
traditional carnations, etc.  They can wear the heart with equals sign 
buttons while selling them - they get quite into it!  Same with colleges.  

Since the language is about healthy relationships, I'd be interested in 
coming up with language that's specifically about consent.  If you're 
interested in using this and you're with a rape crisis center, please contact 
me and let's work on a consent version.

I've attached the English and Spanish versions, but most of you are on "daily 
digest" so go ahead and write me if you want me to send them to you directly.
