Hello all!

Miami University in Oxford, OH just recently (August 1st) began to centralize 
the sexual assault efforts into one position (several other offices on campus 
had been providing various programming for years). I was hired to do this 
awesome task.

Since there was such knowledge and history among those previously providing 
programming, I knew I needed the support of these important people!

My sexual assault advisory committee is compromised of:

1) Director of the Women's center
2) Director of the judicial affairs office
3) The advisor to the MARS (men against rape and sexual assault) group
4) A female university police officer
5) The assistant director of Greek affairs
6) The coordinator of women's services at the student counseling center
7) The director of the community rape crisis program

Also, I leave the committee open to any of the women students who are part of 
the newly formed WAVES (women against violence and sexual assault).

The committee meets every other month.

New to the position...I appreciate the conversations I am privileged to 
through this liserve!

Hello all -

I am wondering if any campus SV or RV offices or staff have an advisory
committee that they meet with regularly (specifically if comprised of
high-level campus administrators).  If you do have one, who is on the
committee, and what is their role?
