A little more on this stuff for you from Wendy Murphy:
In 2005, Illinois v. Mertz - the supreme court of illinois ruled that
there is no data whatsoever that lariam is causally connected to violent
behavior
in 2002 - US v Mezvinsky -- a federal court ruled there was no evidence
linking lariam to psychosis or irrational decision-making --
in short -- while any defense rooted in methodologically sound science
should be presented to a jury - there is no evidence that lariam is
causally connected to sexual violence or any other criminal activity -
thus, while a defense attorney can easily find a hired gun to testify
otherwise - it is also appropriate for prosecutors to file motions to
prevent such testimony as it is expensive and distracting. ? And
nonsensical claims that seek to mitigate personal responsibility distort
rather than elucidate the truth --
