Juliette--Thanks for your comments about the survey distribution. I did
explore this issue before beginning my study--My understanding is that UM's
IRB provides the necessary protections because the study is anonymous and
there is no identifying information that links participants to their schools.
Had I asked participants for the names of their universities, then each
university IRB would have had to approve it. (In addition, UM's IRB seems
fairly rigorous from what I know--the informed consent page is much more
extensive than the APA standards for online surveys, for example.)
If you feel I've addressed your concerns adequately, I hope you will
reconsider distributing to students who may have been affected by
cyberstalking--
Thanks again for your comments, particularly since others may have had
similar concerns!

WORD!
Thank you for passing this along. Our University IRB would have to
approve this before I could send it out to our students so I cannot send
it out.
Good luck with your survey and I look forward to seeing the results some
day.
