Dear women center colleagues and others interested in learning more about women’s centers work,

I hope you'll join the entire planning committee for the second annual NASPA "women's and gender centers pre-conference workshop", taking place from 8-5 PM on Sunday, March 9th, 2008 (the day prior to the start of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators conference in Boston).

The theme for this year's women's/gender center pre-conference is "charting a feminist course for student success." The conference will focus on information sharing and skill-building in three specific areas:
-- using the CAS standards and other methods to assess women's centers work
-- creating and utilizing innovative educational approaches for sexual assault awareness and violence prevention
-- innovative fundraising strategies for women's centers

In addition, there will be ample opportunities for meaningful discussion, best practices sharing, and networking.

To learn more, or to register for the preconference, visit the NASPA website at:

http://www.naspa.org/conference/

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about the conference, or the pre-conference day! Please note: you must register for the full NASPA conference in order to attend the pre-conference.

Hope to see you in Boston in March 2008!

Best,

Susan
