i am just reading this now and am wondering what kinds of messages you
are giving in the "women's prevention web-based program", and also
wondering if you will be creating a prevention program for men, as they
are the ones perpetrating this violence. As soon as I hear that there
is a prevention program for women, I have to find out what that means as
they so often, while well-intentioned, condone victim-blaming. The
majority of prevention resources should go into creating a culture
change in bystander activism, and modules for MEN.
Thank you for your work and I am looking forward to hearing from you,
Juliette
"It's so liberating and important for men to understand that they can
actually be friendly to women instead of playing some gender-specific
role, and that women are in most ways the same as they are. I think that
lots of women already know that, but not so many guys do." -my dad

Here at UNR we are trying to construct a website that students will
find helpful. We are designing it to have prevention information but all
treatment information.(We have a web based prevention program for
college females that a grad student and I developed and tested through a
SBIR). We are developing an exposure based treatment ehealth module.
The question I have is: can you send me good links that already
exist. Anything you think would be helpful for prevention, to
clinicians, to victims, to family members etc. We are looking but would
love your input and expertise.
Eventually we'll post a beta version of the site and also would love
your feedback.
Thanks,
Bill
