In January 1973, the Supreme Court legalized abortion in the United States
with the Roe v. Wade decision.   Almost 35 years later, the right to
abortion is under constant attack from politicians and activists.  What
would happen if abortion were once again made illegal?


Physicians for Reproductive Choice and Health has produced a short film
called Voices of Choice, which tells the stories of doctors who provided
abortions before the Roe decision.  The film includes interviews with
providers who risked their careers ­ and their freedom ­ in order to provide
women with the healthcare they deserved.  These doctors saw firsthand the
devastating consequences of illegal abortion to women and their families,
and devoted themselves to reforming abortion law in the United States.
 

Voices of Choice makes it very clear that we cannot afford to go back to
times of back-alley abortions, fear, desperation, and injustice.
