Hello all-

I thought I would pass along this lovely email I found in my spam re:
Chicago Tribune response.  I was wondering if anyone else that was
published in there received emails like this...

Ms Grimmett;
Your broad brush depiction of "these young men" as sexist, racist
elitists while absolving the women who knowingly choose to "perform" for
them should make us all fear for the state of Justice.  Being falsely
accused of a crime makes you the victim - not the perpetrator.  I think
your energies would be better spent in advising people to consider who
they are associating with to avoid problematic situations.  Whether
choosing a profession or mate, using judgement based on observations
over an extended period of time in a myriad of situations rules out the
questionable options.  In this case, society is looking at a woman and
her family who have a history of some very BAD choices.  Choosing to put
herself in a position of objectification in a room of young men was only
the latest disaster in a life of chaos.   Rape canNOT be an acceptable
part of any society, but you don't have to be a women to be a victim of
abuse.  I understand the relationship you see between your cause and
this case, but I can only hope that your willingness to railroad
innocent people is a momentary lapse.
