Greetings,

I'm helping to spread the word about a new position for a sexual 
assault program and response coordinator at Miami University 
(Ohio).  The position is half-time.  Here are the details:


COORDINATOR OF SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND RESPONSE PROGRAM, 
position #991606

This position is a half-time, 11 month position reporting to the 
Office of the Dean of Students.

Responsibilities:
The Coordinator provides leadership and guidance on sexual assault 
issues for the campus community with the objective of integrating 
awareness, understanding and prevention/risk reduction behavior into 
the daily lives of Miami University students. The Coordinator is 
responsible for the educational components, campus and community 
partnerships, and policy/protocol review and development of Miami 
University sexual assault prevention and response initiatives. 
Additionally, the Coordinator serves as a campus liaison for 
survivors of sexual assault. Responsibilities: Assist with the 
development and implementation of a first-year student sexual assault 
prevention program; develop, advise and administer a womens sexual 
assault prevention peer education group (evaluation, program planning 
and implementation); provide support (e.g., scheduling) to the Men 
Against Rape and Sexual Assault (MARS) Peer Education Program; serve 
as a liaison and resource to University offices involved in sexual 
assault prevention and response and support survivor sexual violence 
by assisting them through the campus response process. Initiate the 
evaluation process for sexual assault prevention and response 
efforts; review current sexual assault related policies and protocols 
and work with appropriate staff to revise and/or propose new policy 
and protocol; coordinate sexual assault prevention and response 
training; seek external funding to support sexual assault prevention 
and response programs and provide staff support for the Sexual 
Assault Advisory Group.

Additional Information:
Screening for this position begins immediately and will continue 
until the position is filled. Proposed annual salary range is: 
$15,000 to $20,000.

Qualifications:
Requires a bachelors degree in health promotion, social work or 
closely related field and involvement in campus or community sexual 
assault programs, policies or service delivery. Highly Desire: 
Masters degree in public health, social work or closely-related 
field; CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) certification; 
demonstrated ability/experience working with persons of diverse 
ethnic, economic and social backgrounds; demonstrated skills in 
administration, supervision and group work; effective interpersonal 
and oral/written communication skills and experience, including 
public speaking and group facilitation and grant-writing experience.
