Hi again
I have come across another article that may be of interest to Molly and
others:

Ahrens, Campbell, Ternier-Thames, Wasco, & Sefl (March 2007). Deciding
whome to tell: Expectations and outcomes of rape survivors' first
disclosures. Psychology of women quarterly, 31, 38-49.

This article reports findings from interviews with 102 rape survivors
about their first sexual assault disclosure, how others reacted to them,
and the impact of these reactions.

Subject: survivor research on disclosure

Hi All,

I am interested in finding research on survivors of sexual
assault/sexual abuse/battering who have reported the abuse and been
disbelieved and the impact that had on them. I am interested in
survivors who were abused as children as well as adults.

I have no idea where to start. Can anyone give me an article to get the
ball rolling? I have seen small mentions of this issue in passing but
nothing focused specifically on this.

Thanks,

Molly Dragiewicz
