Thanks for posting this.  British courts are behind ours in  understanding 
the phenomenon of blackouts.  However, even our courts  are not particularly 
adept at understanding the impact and implications of  blacking out in sexual 
assault cases yet, though I do see signs of  progress.  Our informed consent 
laws 
are actually very similar with British  law, but how they are applied can 
differ dramatically.
