UPCOMING EVENT -- FOURTH NATIONAL SART TRAINING CONFERENCE
The Office for Victims of Crime, Office of Justice Programs, US Department of
Justice announces its sponsorship of the Fourth National Sexual Assault
Response Team (SART) Training Conference scheduled for May 30 - June 1, 2007
in Tampa.
OVC anticipates that 1,000 SART professionals from across the nation will
gather in Tampa for this unique multidisciplinary training conducted by
leading experts from each of the SART disciplines. The three day conference
will feature 60 workshops, six keynote addresses and an exhibition hall of
non-profit and corporate exhibitors. The conference will provide a valuable
learning experience for law enforcement, sexual assault nurse examiners
(SANEs) and other medical examiners, advocates, prosecutors and crime lab
specialists.
The conference registration brochure is currently available for downloading
on the Conferences/Courses page of http://www.sane-sart.com. Online
registration will be available for the first time this year; the website
opened on December 1, 2006 at http://www.sane-sart.com.
The registration fee is $365 before March 15 and $415 thereafter. For the
first time, you will be able to select your breakout sessions online.
Scholarships for teams and for law enforcement officers will again be
offered; information is available at http://www.sane-sart.com. E-mails
