Hi, all. I don't recall if I posted our job opening on this list yet. We're excited to offer this new position!

We have received approval to hire another full-time professional staff member at the Women's Resource Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This new Program Coordinator position will serve two primary roles in our office: to address sexual violence on our campus through trainings and crisis intervention and to plan WRC programming on a wide range of women's issues.The job posting is now on the Georgia Tech website. Women's Resource Center
Founded in 1998, the Women's Resource Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology exists "to enhance the academic performance and personal development of the women at Georgia Tech by striving to create a more inclusive and supportive campus environment for women, and by promoting understanding among Georgia Tech's diverse community of men and women." The Women's Resource Center is a unit of the Office of the Dean of Students. Georgia Tech's student body is approximately 27% female.

The Position
In order to achieve this mission, the WRC Program Coordinator will:
--Assess campus climate and educational needs; advocate for systemic program and policy changes that work towards the prevention of violence against women.
--Identify training needs and conduct training programs on violence against women and other women's issues, including ally/advocate trainings for campus (i.e. Safe Sister, individual departments)
--Responsible for development of advocate program including recruitment, training and supervision of student and staff advocates for victims-survivors of sexual violence.
--Provide crisis intervention, support, advocacy and resource/referral information for individual students; serve as a support person for victim-survivors through the campus judicial process if requested.
--Assist in the planning, coordinating and marketing of programs for the Women's Resource Center. Work with individual students, student organizations and other offices to provide programming to address women students' needs at Georgia Tech.
--Advise and train Women's Awareness Month Committee with particular emphasis on programs addressing sexual violence.
--Responsible for various administrative duties as assigned, i.e. develop and manage WRC volunteer program; participate in the planning, development and implementation of grant proposals; represent the WRC in internal and external committees.

Qualifications:
--Bachelor's degree required with equivalent combination of education and experience in an academic discipline appropriate to the position. Master's degree preferred.
--Two years professional experience and comprehensive knowledge of violence against women and other women's issues, and proven ability to apply a range of concepts, techniques and practices to carry out program objectives.
--Knowledge and demonstrated commitment to women's issues.
--Ability to work with, and respect, women from a wide range of backgrounds and viewpoints.
--Proven ability to evaluate and produce reliable results, problem-solve and trouble-shoot problems.
--Excellent written, oral communication and computer skills.

Hiring Range: $34,750 to $43,440
