ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To provide direct services to staff, faculty and students to prevent sexual violence/sexual assault, acquaintance rape, relationship violence, and stalking at Lehigh University by performing the following duties:
· Coordinate, expand and assess Lehigh's sexual violence prevention education program
· Design and deliver trainings on sexual violence for students, faculty and staff
· Recruit, train and supervise students in developing and implementing a campus-wide peer education program
· Recruit, train and supervise students in staffing and marketing the Break the Silence Sexual Violence peer hotline
· Design and implement a campaign to publicize university and community sexual violence resources
· Supervise sexual violence awareness programming by Women's Center student staff members
· Design and implement methods of assessing the impact of sexual violence prevention programming efforts
· Understand and promote the Women's Center's mission and goals in all programs and initiatives
· Understand and incorporate the perspectives of culturally diverse communities at Lehigh into all programs and initiatives
· Keep abreast of specific incidents and patterns of sexual violence on campus
· Serve as liaison with local, state and national organizations and agencies that educate their communities and serve survivors of sexual violence
· Maintain currency with developments in the field of sexual violence prevention
· Initiate and support proposals for program funding enhancements from outside corporate, governmental, and philanthropic organizations
· Perform related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Health Education, Public Health, Higher Education, Student Personnel, Women's Studies, or closely related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
2. Two years minimum professional experience working with late adolescent or college-age populations on sexual violence programs
3. Three to five years related work experience
4. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
5. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver workshops, trainings, and educational programs tailored to diverse audiences
6. Demonstrated ability to develop planning documents by synthesizing qualitative and quantitative information from a variety of sources
7. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse individuals and groups
8. Knowledge of contemporary women's and gender issues
9. Excellent computer skills including experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and graphics software
10. Ability to work some evenings and weekends to deliver trainings and programs
11. Ability to travel in order to attend national conferences
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. Solid supervisory skills
14. Successful completion of standard background checks: social security verification, education verification, state and county criminal background checks; successful completion of child abuse background check
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION:
This position is 83% effort, 40 hours per week, 10 month a year
SALARY GRADE:
9 - 40 Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act
