Hi everyone - I apologize for those of you getting this on numerous
lists,

Please reply to me directly at

 so we don't create too
much traffic on the list. If anyone is interested, I can assemble all of
the responses and send them back to the list.

I am curious to know if you and your programs have a strong
collaborative relationship with your Residence Life department? If so,
how? We currently provide training for resident directors and resident
assistants, and we do a number of educational programs in the residence
halls. Our victim services coordinator (many of you know Sarah Rankin)
also has a very strong relationship with the residence life staff.

I think we do a very good job here of working with that department, but
we want to know if there are other ways people have a strong presence in
the halls with students and staff providing prevention education or
health promotion? For example, we have heard of some campuses that have
peer educators actually living in the halls as Residential Peer
Educators. Does anyone have anything like this?  Are there other ways
you have a strong, consistent presence in your residence halls? Are
there other ways you have access to new and incoming students other than
orientation?

Thanks so much.

Brian
