Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes (New York) is
sponsoring a two-day conference entitled "The Social Norms Approach to
Promoting Positive Sexuality and Social Justice."

The dates for the conference are April 14 and 15, 2004. The venue is
The Radisson Hotel, in Corning, New York.

Presenters include:

Alan Berkowitz, whose keynote address is entitled "Fostering Healthy
Norms for Sexual Behavior and Social Justice Activism: Insights from the Social 
Norms Approach."

Julie White, who will present a workshop on "Social Norms Interventions to Reduce 
Coercive Sexual Behaviors of College Students."

William Bacon, who will present two workshops, one on the "Application
of the Social Norms Model to Promoting Adolescent Sexual Health," and
one entitled "Resisting Peer Pressure in Early Adolescence: A Social
Norms-Based Sex Education Program for Middle Schoolers."

Tanya Smolinsky, who will offer a workshop entitled "Fostering GLBT
Ally Behavior Utilizing a Social Norms Approach."

There will also be a one-day preconference introduction to the social norms 
approach.
