I am interested in collecting qualitative information about the 
experiences of survivors of relationship or sexual violence at our 
university. The purposes of this research would be to identify 
strengths and weaknesses in service provision, to inform policy and 
protocol, and to develop prevention/response programming for 
students, staff and faculty.

Has anyone attempted a similar study on their campus? Is anyone 
aware of similar studies - on a local (not national) level? If so, 
please contact me at

King County did a qualitative study entitled "Cultural Issues Affecting 
Domestic Violence Service Utilization in Ethnic and Hard to Reach 
Populations." It is a lot of information (probably more than you need), but 
is a very good model, especially in its design which utilized gatekeepers to 
gain access to specif hard to reach populations and really tease out the 
issues. The report is online at:
