Fire Alarm System Outage

BLDG: 1602 UVA Orthopedic Center Ivy RD.

   

In order to resolve airflow issues with the SPD cart wash, serval exhaust air valves need to be replaced above the ceiling in rooms G016 and G024. This will required hot work above the ceiling as well some work in the immediate vicinity of the valves. We anticipate the hot work occurring over the first day, with the second and third day comprising testing and checkout. Due to the hot work required, we will be placing the fire alarm system on test during this period.

While no interruptions in service are expected, beyond those indicated in this notice, you should review your local area response plan prior to the outage.  For unexpected issues related to this outage please report to Help Desk at 4-2267 and your local clinical leadership for operational response.
