Health System Planned Outage Notification

Electricity Outage    

Emergency Power Normal Power Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Emergency Generator UPS Emergency Power Panel    

This outage is required to perform final commissioning agent testing on the emergency power system. Power will be failed at the incoming service and we will test the generator.

 

BLDG: 1602 UVA Orthopedic Center Ivy RD.

   

This outage is required to perform final commissioning agent testing on the emergency power system. We will fail normal power to the building and observe the transfer onto emergency power. We will then validate all equipment and controls transfer automatically and function on e-power. Once observations are made, we will watch the power return to normal and observe functionality of systems after the transfer back. The entire building, and all systems within, will be affected. There will be periods of darkness for a few seconds during the transfers and while we are observing on e-power, only the emergency lighting will be on.

While no interruptions in service are expected, beyond those indicated in this notice, you should review your local area response plan prior to the outage.  For unexpected issues related to this outage please report to Help Desk at 4-2267 and your local clinical leadership for operational response.
