Facilities Management Outage Notification

Fire System - Smoke Detection Outage    

BLDG: 0066 MAURY HALL

 

Affected Floors / Rooms:  B004, Basement Mechanical.

Impact to Building Occupants:  No Heating

This partial fire system outage is in conjunction with the heating outage. A portion of the smoke alarm system in the mechanical room will be offline during the outage, but the fire protection system throughout the remainder of the building will remain in operation.

This Outage Will Occur Daily: 07:00-16:00

Scheduled Start Date and Time:	2020-Jul-27 08:00
Scheduled End Date and Time:	2020-Aug-21 16:00
Reason for Outage:	Verify smoke/heat detection devices will not alarm during demolition and fit-up of new blending loop system, Room B004. Cutting torch, grinder and portable welder will be used throughout the construction duration.
