Facilities Management Outage Notification

Please Post Centrally in Your Department

Fire System - Smoke Detection,Sprinkler System Outage

BLDG: 0066 MAURY HALL

Affected Floors / Rooms: Second, third, and attic

Impact to Building Occupants: No Fire Suppression

While the sprinkler system will be offline from 7 am - 3:30 pm for the next few days, it will be returned to normal operation each afternoon and will remain functional until 7 am the next morning. This will continue each day from 7/30 - 8/2. Fire watch will be performed while the system is offline.

This Outage Will Occur Daily: 07:00-15:30

Scheduled Start Date and Time:	2019-Jul-30 07:00
Scheduled End Date and Time:	2019-Aug-02 15:30
Reason for Outage:	Installing Structural Steele in attic above second floor. Need 3rd floor sprinklers and smoke detection offline to prevent accidental activation.

Customers with Whom the Outage was Coordinated:	No real customer impact. No feedback received from any customers. However, the Navy ROTC staff will not be affected by this outage, and the classrooms throughout the building are not in use this summer.
