Facilities Management Outage Notification

Fire System - Smoke Detection Outage    

BLDG: 0065 MINOR HALL

 

Affected Floors / Rooms:  Basement mechanical room B003. Heat Detection. Construction duration 11-11 through 12.02.2020. No on-site activities will require system outage from 11.23 through 11.27.20. Heat detection outage to resume November 30.

Impact to Building Occupants:  No Fire Alarms

This should only impact smoke alarms in the mechanical space in the basement where the work will occur. It should not impact smoke alarms in the occupied spaces in the building.

Scheduled Start Date and Time:	2020-Nov-11 07:00
Scheduled End Date and Time:	2020-Dec-02 16:00
Reason for Outage:	As part of the Medium Temperature Hot Water conversion project, mechanical work is required in the basement mechanical room, B003. The work includes removing the existing heat exchanger, and related equipment and piping. New valves, piping and controls will be installed.

2. Those performing work associated with this outage MUST  notify the Systems Control Center (982-4685) PRIOR TO THE START and upon COMPLETION of all work
